  1. I like the rear view of the Elantra, but the side and grille are overdesigned (which is becoming a common issue). Designers would do well to keep in mind Dieter Rams' principle, "Good design is design as little as possible."

  2. Hyundai did a great job, but after seeing the Zorro line edited, it definetly flows better, tail lights look like the Toyota Avalon.

  3. I like the changes you suggest although I don’t hate the factory design. We currently have a 2015 Limited Elantra. Been very happy with it. Never any problem with it in over 55+K miles.

  4. I think the gen 5 elantra was the most beautiful design. Stop fucking up its design more and more and go back to gen 5 and 6

  5. I watched the Introduction of the Elantra a little while ago and I really new Elantra design as I like the very sharp geometric/triangular looking design and triangular design details. I really appreciate many of the exterior body styling, as well as, the very futuristic, cockpit interior styling!

  6. If you remove the badge and show this car to someone who never saw it before, and you ask about what car brand is ..they will tell you this is the new Honda Civic ..even the wheels are Honda design

  7. Hello, I have become a big fan after coming across all your videos on YouTube…I don't know if there is an alternative in submitting a request(s) which would include either modernizing or ur version if Chevy brought back the Beretta. and also if possible in a future video how you would fix the 2003 Chevy Monte carlo. I look forward to all ur upcoming videos.. Thank you!!

  8. Your design is definitely better.
I am so tired of two rising character lines on the sides of every new car.
One car mag was doing a Best Of article and put all the cars in side view, in black, on one page.
They all looked exactly the same.

  9. Big Big improvement over the last year's models. I recommend going for the hybrid when released. The DCT transmission is way better than the IVT. The "Z" side view is a plus for me since my name starts with a Z Also love the new grey color

  10. I personally LOVE this design as it really differs from the usual bland Teutonic redesigns. The courage of a mass producer to hire designers that really DESIGN cars! Bravo Hyundai!

  11. You're good at making technical principles feel approachable. I also like your rescue kitten updates. Keep it up, proud of you.

  12. It's certainly interesting; yet I can see a gap in the market appearing now for a manufacturer to produce truly clean and crisply designed vehicles which would stand out for being simpler and less of a collision of lines and creases.

  13. a polarizing design is absolutely genius and a smart move from hyundai bcz the car is gonna be all over the internet and people will talk about it which means free advertising

  14. Everyone needs to understand the finale will be the Elantra N. I’m sure it will have a much more aggressive front and rear bumper design with 18in wheels.

  15. The hybrid numbers aren't bad. More powerful than a Prius and some other cars that are in the compact car class. 195 lb-ft is very good. If they had a plug in hybrid, it would probably be far more powerful.

  16. Sorry, but I'm not impressed. As a former owner of the 2016 Elantra, which IMHO was the best looking of all the models, this 2021 model is just too ugly, and doesn't look at all like an Elantra. Not sure why Hyundai did this, since the Sonata redesign looks so good! Oh well. I'll stick with my Kia Soul for sure!

  17. I like the own design but agree with your redesign. Agree with golden ratio. That looks better. and complex rear design got better. Before it was too much now it looks better(don’t know what words to put as english’s not my mother tounge)

  18. The new Elantra is sooo messy looking. The creases and cut-lines just emphasize that it a dumpy conventional ordinary car. The size of the wheels in proportion to the sides definitely screams that the owner is sub-prime. Hyundai could have created something truly different, instead of a boring sedan that they attempted to disguise with visual gimmicks.

  19. They are no longer cheap, under powered cars. They are now cheap, over styled, underpowered cars. They look like reject Audi’s or bmw’s. I’d look at it at a light too. But not because it’s impressive. It looks goofy.

  20. I like geometric angular forms. This design appealed to me immediately. The side design works for me because I think there is a linear tension at the intersection. The change offered seemed to me to blend to every other smooth sheet metal.
The rear end recommendation I agree just too many horizontal lines. The change made interesting detail. When I buy a car it's usually the ass end that sells me.
The front turn signal is a simple fix in next year's refresh. I really liked the critique of the car.

  21. Incredibly ugly! I hope they don’t sell a single one because I don’t want my eyes assaulted by looking at it. Doesn’t matter, though. It’s already proven people will buy anything regardless of how ugly it is.
